NC State has almost 34K students FWIW, we're only a few hundred behind


And third largest in the ACC. But FSU is the only school in the conference with 40K+ enrollment and VT and NCSU are the only ones between 30K and 40K.

The Big 10 has 4 schools with 50K+ enrollment (OSU, Minnesota, MSU, and Rutgers). They have 6 more that are above 40K. The only ones below 40K in the Big 10 are Maryland (and they're REALLY close), Iowa (would still be the 4th largest school in the ACC), Nebraska, and Northwestern. Only Northwestern wouldn't be in the top half of ACC schools by enrollment.

And in fact, only 9 of 50 non-ACC schools would be outside the top half of the ACC by enrollment if they were to join.
